Have your say on the City of Durham Parish Council’s priorities

08 August 2026

The City of Durham Parish Council is inviting residents to have their say on our priorities and the work we should focus on over the coming year.

We want to hear from as many people as possible from across the City of Durham parish area. Your views will help us understand what matters most to our community and will help inform our priorities, projects and services.

This consultation covers a wide range of areas that affect our city and its residents, including the local environment, planning and development, supporting our city centre and businesses, community activities and events, how we communicate with residents, and the services provided by the Parish Council.

Why your views matter

The Parish Council exists to represent our residents, and we want our future priorities to reflect the issues that matter to the people who live here.

Whether there is something you think we should be doing more of, an issue you believe needs greater attention, or an idea that could make our parish an even better place to live, we want to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to tell us what you think we should prioritise and where you would like to see the Parish Council focus its efforts and resources.

Please take part

The consultation is open to residents of the City of Durham parish area only.

It only takes a short time to complete, and every response will help us build a clearer picture of residents’ priorities.

Please complete the consultation by 30 September 2026.
